National online retailer Plant Doctor has developed a range of exceptional earth friendly products for plants, animals and humans utilising science and technology that delivers ethical, economical and effective health and wellbeing solutions. The company sells its own brand as well as contract manufactures for a number of resellers Australia-wide. Its marketing strategy is anchored in online sales and requires regular communication to its growing database here and overseas.

As part of delivering an overall marketing strategy, Zakazukha created a regular electronic direct mail (eDM) campaign promoting the Plant Doctor’s range to it’s fans and followers, as well as encouraging new sign-ups to their newsletter from a growing audience interested in their variety of natural, organic and traditional products.

eDMs are a cost effective and targeted way to speak to an audience and promote a message, with the opportunity to remarket and refine those messages to those that show interest.

Zakazukha established a number of creative and engaging eDM templates as the base for various ongoing campaigns, with the purpose of attracting attention and delivering sales.

For example an eDM was created to launch of a new range of indoor plant products. An introductory special offer was promoted and the campaign achieved a double-digit open rate with strong immediate and follow up sales.

Similarly a New Years campaign achieved comparable results, targeting the downtime many people enjoyed at that time of the year and promoting it as the perfect time to garden, with double-digit opens, a pipeline of orders and new sign ups.

eDMs can also be targeted at specific events, with a recent campaign reassuring customers that Plant Doctor was still delivering during lockdown and included information about delivery options and gardening ideas with links back to Plant Doctor’s blog.
